FLACC — Behavioural ratings

Five manual clinical ratings0–2; total without an invented threshold.

FLACC — Behavioural ratings

Principle

Manual clinical FLACC rating, postoperative pain in children from 2 months to 7 years; before and after observations under comparable conditions.

Scope

Manual clinical FLACC rating, postoperative pain in children from 2 months to 7 years; before and after observations under comparable conditions.

Interpretation limits

The software sums five ratings 0–2 established using an authorised grid; it does not reproduce proprietary descriptions. No original treatment threshold defined, no invented class. FLACC may underestimate pain in an atonic or prostrate child; prefer self-report when reliable. Do not confuse with r-FLACC. A behavioural change does not prove treatment efficacy.

Formula and logic

Sum of explicit ratings for this observation, without imputation.
